With a relatively seasonable climate for much of the year, Washington D.C. is the perfect city for open-air relaxation, from drinking and dining with friends to playing sports and games with the kids. And what better place to hang out than in the comfort of your own backyard? At Deck Wizard, we’ve been installing Washington D.C. decks for well over 70 years, and we know how to make the most of your outdoor living areas. From historic central townhomes to large homes outside the Beltway, we design, install, and maintain decks of any style and build.
We can have you enjoying your outdoor living space in next to no time thanks to our many deck, patio, and enclosure services:
If your deck is sagging, mold-ridden, or missing pieces, you may be tempted to tear everything out and start from scratch. While some decks require such drastic action, many don’t! Thanks to our highly trained Washington D.C. deck restoration professionals, we at Deck Wizard can take worn-out decks and make them even better than new. We always go the extra mile to ensure a perfect end result, with a thorough process that includes sanding—never pressure washing—and three coats of patented sealant.
While most decks can be restored through our standard process, some decks require structural repairs before they can be safely restored. At Deck Wizard, our Washington D.C. deck repair expertise runs the gamut, from basic cosmetic fixes to significant structural overhauls. Depending on the state of your deck, we’ll create a customized repair strategy that may include:
In addition to our many Washington D.C. decking services, we can also outfit your deck or patio with a custom-fitted enclosure. By protecting your outdoor space from the worst of Mother Nature, we’ll not only maximize your comfort but also extend the useful lifetime of your patio or deck. For best-in-class enclosures in Washington D.C., local residents have trusted us since 1945!
Searching for something besides Washington D.C. deck enclosures or decks? Then consider our range of tailor-made patio designs. Whether you’re looking for something sleek and modern or historic and sophisticated, we have a wide selection of materials, colors, and patterns to suit any aesthetic taste. And like all of our products and services, our Washington D.C. patios are backed by some of the industry’s most comprehensive labor and material warranties.

Available in flagstone, brick, and a number of other materials, our pavers are strong enough to withstand D.C.’s variable climate and versatile enough to complement your home’s look. We’ll give your Deck a “Face Lift” through a revolutionary and time-tested process depending on condition.
Our standard process includes replacing rotted wood, tightening or reinforcing connections, sanding all horizontal surfaces, removing protruding nails and replacing with 3-inch screws, addressing large surface cracks with exothermic polymer filler, sanding a second time, and applying three (3) coats of our patented coating including primer in one of twelve amazing colors.
Sometimes, the condition of your deck boards are so bad that re-finishing will not offer the best results. In such cases, we recommend replacing all deck boards with new lumber. However, not just any wood. We buy our deck boards direct from the mill. They are handpicked by our buyers and specially conditioned so they resist the shrinking, warping and buckling common with regular pressure-treated lumber.
There’s a third option for revitalizing your deck. We’ll take off and dispose of your old wood and replace it with composite materials that are virtually impervious to moisture and virtually maintenance free. Choose from a number of different suppliers including Trex, Timber Tech and Azek in a wide variety of wood grains and finishes.
